Does your taste of music say anything about you?

Knowing the type of music you listen to can actually lead to surprisingly accurate predictions about your personality.
Lets know how.
I went to high school where my Principle was a musician. His intense love of music had inspired the people related to the school and there was a strong flow of soothing sound throughout the entire campus. This is not where it started from. There was this day (mid September) somewhere in the late 80s, a taste was born with my birth. Taste of music. With time, my preferences in life changed. The only thing that remained constant was my taste of music.Unlike for many cool people of my age, folk music has much to do with my "start". It was quite difficult and obvious those days for a 6 years old to understand the term "genre". I wasn't an exception. Ideas started pouring in as I started exploring things. That was "The Beginning".Schooling happened. As said earlier, my school was a music friendly space where you have all the opportunities explore. It was a different world out there. Kids of my age were into Pop and Hip hop, and I was lagging. A sense of competition started knocking my mind. The taste of folk was fading from my bud, as I learnt that "Hip Hop" is the coolest. The point is, you frame your interest unknowingly according to the atmosphere you live in. Initially, I used to judge people by their choice, which is partly correct. I will tell why it is partly correct. There were, for example, the punks who listened to, well, punk; the stoners who listened to Pink Floyd or trance. But the fact is, no one was born cool or no one started getting high at the age of 2. Do you prefer to listen to the 40s hit? Do the latest tracks from Rhianna, Selena Gomez and FloRida make up your workout mix? If so, chances are that you also tend to be extraverted, honest and conventional. While pop music lovers are hard-working and have high self-esteem, researchers suggests that they tend to be less creative and more uneasy. Are Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre more your style? In spite of the stereotype that rap lovers are more aggressive or violent, researchers have actually found no such link. Rap fans do tend to have high self-esteem and are usually outgoing.Despite the sometimes aggressive image that Rock Music and heavy metal project, researchers found that fans of this style of music are usually quite gentle. They tend to be creative, but are often introverted and may suffer from low self-esteem.Classical music lovers are typically more introverted, but are also at ease with themselves and the world around them. They are creative and have a good sense of self esteem.Same goes for Jazz and blues lovers. The above was statistics after a research by few psychologists. Meanwhile, there are bunch of people like me, who actually does not care the genre and listen to every kind of music. Can we categorize them in a different group and name them as "multi personality ", no right? We cannot judge their personality by the choice they make. But partially we can predict which may or may not be accurate.
